The museum transforms into a low-sensory environment for all

The Bunbury Museum Heritage Centre is taking part in International Day of People with Disability by dedicating the day to a museum experience that people of all abilities can take part in.

Attendees can enjoy low-level lights and low sound throughout the museum, as well as a quiet space with sensory and tactile items. From 10am-2pm, attendees can also join a slow and gentle exploration of their exhibits with ‘Quiet Tours’, along with a lunchtime screening of short films from the Focus on Ability Film Festival.

The museum has automatic entry and exit doors and the building is fully wheelchair accessible. An adult-size wheelchair is available for use within the building. There is also plenty of seating within the display space.
