Passing along skills to ensure your family is safe and protected

The Midvale Hub Parenting Service (Perth North East) is hosting their Protective Behaviours Parent Workshop for parents and carers of children who reside in Mundaring, Swan, Bassendean or Bayswater.

Protective Behaviours is a personal safety program that teaches children skills and strategies to recognise and respond to unsafe situations. By sharing Protective Behaviours with your child, you will be helping to develop lifelong skills of assertiveness, self-confidence, problem-solving, communication, and resilience.

The program is underpinned by two core themes:

  • We all have the right to feel safe at all times – This theme emphasises the inherent right of every individual, especially children, to feel safe in their environments.
  • We can talk with someone about anything, no matter what it is – This theme fosters open communication, assuring children that they can discuss any topic with a trusted adult without fear of judgment.

Please note that this is a parent workshop and is not suitable for children to attend.

Registrations are essential. The facilitator will message all registrants before attending to confirm their attendance.
