Helping siblings connect, learn, and build confidence

Siblings Australia is running their SibWorks online peer support program across seven weeks for children aged 8–12 years who have a brother or sister with disability or chronic illness.

The program is run by a trained SibWorks facilitator, ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-structured experience for children and families.

Through age-appropriate activities and discussions, the SibWorks program supports children to:

  • Better understand disability and sibling experiences
  • Develop positive coping strategies
  • Understand and manage tricky feelings
  • Feel less alone in their sibling role
  • Build confidence and emotional resilience

After registering, families will receive a meeting link with simple instructions on how to join.

A SibWorks program parcel will be posted to your child before the program begins. This includes all materials used across the sessions, clearly labelled by week. Please ensure your postal address is up to date when registering so the parcel arrives in time.
