Learn to speak up for your child at school

There may be times throughout your child’s schooling when you feel the need to step in and advocate for your child’s needs. You know your child better than anyone else, and learning how to best advocate for them helps your voice be heard and ensures the best outcome for your child and your family.

Parents and carers raising children aged 0-18 years are invited to join Kiind online for our upcoming Virtual MyTime!

Virtual MyTime is a dedicated online space for parents and carers to connect. Whether you live in regional or remote areas or face barriers to attending in-person support groups, Kiind is here for you, no matter your location.

This session will be facilitated by Kiind’s Peer Navigation team and joined by guest speaker, Maxine fromDevelopmental Disability WA (DDWA). This session aims to help parents and carers gain the knowledge and skills to learn how to advocate for their children at school. This includes helping attendees navigate school refusal, understand their child’s rights at school, and how to express their concerns in a productive way.

Join this safe and supportive environment to share ideas, experiences, and access valuable resources.
