Big adventures for little nature lovers in Term 3
The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority is running their weekly Zippy’s Bush Kindy program across eight weeks for children aged 3-5 years during the school term.
Join Zippy the Dragonfly on a journey of discovery for a one-hour session on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. New explorers and children continuing from previous terms are welcome to join.
During Term 3, attendees will:
- Build shelters for the cooler weather
- Experience a session around the fire where they will prepare and cook damper
- Explore the flowers that bloom during Djilba
- Increase their awareness of Noongar culture and language
- Learn how the bushland traditionally provided for Noongar people
- Participate in traditional storytelling and learn how to care for the bush
- Grow in confidence and their love of nature
Please note that a parent or supervisor is required in every session.
