Make an impact by volunteering your time and talent

We have a number of opportunities where you can make a difference by lending a hand or sharing your knowledge, skills or experience.

Our current volunteer positions are outlined below.

Become a Parent Coach

Parent Coaches are members of the Kiind community who volunteer to share their lived experience of raising a child with disability to support and guide another Kiind parent.

Our Parent Coaches tend to be further along in their caring journey and are ideally placed to help another parent develop the knowledge and skills they need to support their child’s unique needs and navigate the complex systems and services that are often involved.

The coaching process involves working one-on-one with another parent and may involve setting goals, creating a plan of action and working through challenges as they arise.

If you would like to learn more or express your interest in volunteering as a Parent Coach, then we’d love to hear from you.

Provide massage and reflexology services

As part of Kiind’s Hospital Support program, we offer free, remedial massage and reflexology services to exhausted parents who may find themselves sleeping at their child’s bedside as a result of an unexpected or emergency admission to the Perth Children’s Hospital.

Private and dedicated space is available within the Family Resource Centre on the ground floor of the hospital along with massage table, fresh towels and other equipment.  Bookings are coordinated directly with parents by Kiind staff.

If you or someone you know is a qualified massage therapist or reflexologist with an interest in supporting families for three hours once or twice a month, then we’d love to hear from you.  Please get in touch by clicking the button below and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch.
