You’re not alone on this parenting journey – support starts here

Parents and carers of children aged 0-18 years with disability are invited to join Kiind for our online Parent Training Workshop.

This workshop provides a safe, supportive space for parents and carers to learn and grow together, gaining tools and confidence to embrace this new chapter while looking after their own wellbeing.

The workshop will feature guest speaker, Bethany Brajkovich, from Unstoppable Parenting. Bethany is a Kiind parent herself and brings both professional expertise and personal insight as a mother to a neurodiverse daughter who has an acutely rare disease and as someone with lived experience of AuDHD.

Bethany has over 15 years of experience working across state government and the not-for-profit sector. Her work spans across community health, parent education, disability services, domestic violence, poverty and youth suicide prevention.

In this workshop, attendees will explore how to:

  • Look after their own wellbeing and mental health following their child’s diagnosis
  • Adapt to changes in family life, routines, and schedules
  • Build gentle strategies to support new challenges and transitions
  • Find their tribe and build a support network
  • Acknowledge that life may look different to what they once imagined
  • Ask for help (and accept it)
  • Give themselves permission to feel the range of emotions and let go of guilt when they take time for themselves
