Kiind is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Nys as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Helen brings extensive senior leadership experience in both the not-for-profit and government sectors. As demonstrated in her previous roles as the State Director Children, Youth and Families for Life Without Barriers, and senior positions at the Department of Communities and the Disability Services Commission. She has a strong track record for service innovation in many areas including disability, family support and child protection.
As a parent of a young adult with disability and a long-standing Kiind member herself, Helen brings valuable lived experience to the role and a passion for inclusion. This perspective will support Kiind to remain a trusted and responsive organisation to the evolving needs of children and families.
From CEO, Helen Nys
“It is a privilege to join Kiind as Chief Executive Officer, and I thank the Board for their support. I am very much looking forward to building upon Carrie Clark’s strong legacy and being a voice for families and children with disability at this critical time of reform across the NDIS and state disability services.”
Helen will commence in her role on Monday, 23 February 2026, and will be supported by our current CEO, Carrie Clark to ensure a smooth and effective leadership transition. There will be no disruption to Kiind’s services during this time.
