Learn the art of needle felting with the whole family

Solstice Fibre is running their weekly Home School Needle Felting Classes for children aged 5 years and over who are home schooled.

Family Needle Felting Classes are designed to be relaxing, welcoming, and accessible for a wide range of ages and abilities. Parents and siblings are also welcome to have a play and dive into fibre arts.

Participants can choose to follow the project examples provided each week or let their imaginations lead the way. No prior experience is required, and individual guidance is available throughout the class to support each participant at their own pace.

For children who may be too young for needle felting, a selection of age-appropriate creative activities will be available to help keep little hands busy while the family participates.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

The venue features a small playground and outdoor area, providing additional space for movement and breaks when needed. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance, with accessible toilets that include baby-changing facilities.

Please note that felting needles are sharp, and children will require assistance from their parent or carer to engage in the needle felting activities.

Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothing suitable for crafting and bring a water bottle and optional snacks (please ensure all food brought into the venue is nut-free).

If you would like to use your child’s NDIS funding to attend, please contact solstice.fibre.shop@gmail.com
